A global leader in reclosable packaging technology, Minigrip has provided packaging solutions since the 1950’s. After all these years, our Color Line Trademark stands for the absolute best product quality and customer service in the consumer goods industry.
Minigrip Consumer Products is located in Seguin (San Antonio), Texas with a manufacturing plant and company headquarters that has operated for twenty years. Prior to being in Texas, Minigrip operated in Orangeburg, NY and manufactured the first reclosable zipper bag back in 1959. Minigrip owns the trademark for putting color in food storage bags, and consumers worldwide have come to “Follow the Color Line to Quality™”.
In 1984 Minigrip was purchased by ITW, a global Fortune 100 company with more than 750 business units in over 50 countries worldwide. The strong financial resources of a Fortune 100 company together with business unit autonomy have proven to be a successful combination for Minigrip. Patented innovation, creative product development, market understanding and consumer sensitivity has resulted in products that consumers want and retailers can profit from selling.
Over the years, the growth of Minigrip has reflected the growth of Private Label brand penetration in plastic bags. You will find our products in leading supermarket, mass merchandisers, and drug stores throughout the United States. In 2006, Minigrip completed the purchase of Minigrip-Thailand, located just outside Bangkok. This purchase has allowed Minigrip to meet global marketplace opportunities. In early 2007, Minigrip opened our Northeast U.S. Distribution Center just outside Albany, N.Y. to better service current and future customers. In the years ahead, Minigrip will continue to expand our customer base, product mix, and channel geography to expand our presence of being a global manufacturer and marketer of plastic bags for food storage and home storage.
